Return Policy

  1. APPLICATION FOR RETURN OR EXCHANGE

    1. Subject to the terms and conditions in this Return and Exchange Policy and the Terms of Service, Buyer may apply for return of the purchased items (“Item”) and/or refund or exchange if they have purchased from a Bakipa Business account as stated in the Terms of Service.

    2. Users may communicate with each other privately to resolve their differences or approach their relevant local authorities to assist them in overcoming any dispute.

 

  1. APPLICATION FOR THE RETURN OR EXCHANGE OF AN ITEM

    1. Buyer may only apply for the refund and/or return, or exchange of the Item in the following circumstances:

      1. The application is made within 14 days of the order being placed;

      2. The Item has not been received by Buyer;

      3. The Item was defective and/or damaged on delivery;

      4. Seller has delivered an Item that does not match the agreed specification (e.g. wrong size, colour, etc.) to Buyer;

      5. The Item delivered to Buyer is materially different from the description provided by Seller in the listing of the Item; or

      6. By way of private agreement with Seller and Seller must send his/her confirmation to Bakipa confirming such agreement.

    2. Buyer’s application must be submitted to the Seller via the contact details provided on the order confirmation email.

    3. The Seller will review each Buyer’s application on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the criteria listed under point 2.1 to determine whether Buyer’s application is successful.

    4. If the application is accepted by the Seller, they will arrange for the return of the item in accordance with their own returns policy and may vary from Seller to Seller.

    5. In the event where Buyer has commenced legal action against Seller, Buyer may provide the formal notification from the appropriate authority to Bakipa to request Bakipa to continue to hold the purchase monies until a formal determination is available. Bakipa will, at its sole and absolute discretion, determine whether it is necessary to continue to hold such purchase monies.

 

  1. NO CHANGE OF MIND

    1. Unless stated in this Return and Exchange Policy, Buyer may not apply for the return of the Item and/or refund due to a change of mind.

 

  1. RIGHTS OF SELLER

    1. After receiving an application for a refund or exchange, Seller may respond to Buyer’s application according to the steps provided in their company Refund and Exchange Policy.

 

  1. CONDITION OF RETURNING ITEM

    1. To enjoy a hassle-free experience when returning the Item, Buyer should ensure that the Item, including any complimentary items such as accessories that come with the Item, must be returned to Seller in the condition received by Buyer on delivery. We will recommend Buyer to take a photo of the Item upon receipt.

 

  1. COST OF RETURNING AN ITEM

    1. The Buyer or Seller may be responsible for the cost of return of an item, in accordance with the Return and Exchange policy of the individual Seller.

 

  1. REFUNDS

    1. Buyer will be refunded within 5 working days of Bakipa receiving confirmation from Seller that Seller has received the returned Item.

    2. In the event where a Buyer demonstrates a Seller has accepted return of an item with email evidence and has shipped the item to the Seller with proof of receipt, but the Seller has not provided confirmation to Bakipa within 14 days of the Item being shipped, Bakipa will be at liberty to refund the applicable sum to Buyer without further notice to Seller. The refund will be made to Buyer’s credit/debit card or designated bank account, whichever is applicable.

 

  1. COMMUNICATION BETWEEN BUYER AND SELLER

    1. Bakipa encourages Buyers and Sellers to communicate with each other in the event where problem arises in a transaction. As Bakipa is a platform for Users to conduct trading, Buyer should contact Seller directly for any issue relating to the Item purchased.
